To use an installer with that kind of crap included by default, with no obvious way to "opt out" of installing it, is unethical IMO. Even though I've been a fan of imgburn in the past, they're now on my s*** list. I'm not even sure that's within the OpenCandy guidelines, and I sure don't like the way the imgburn installer is working (no obvious way to "opt out of the adware if you want to install imgburn, and I have no doubt that most users would even pay attention to the fine print on the first license agreement page that mentions Open Candy).

IOW, if you want imgburn, you'll also get OpenCandy. It's mentioned on the first page in the installer that you have to check a box to agree to (license agreements for both imgburn on opencandy using the same check box.Īfter that, I see nothing that lets you "opt out" of installing it. There are no uncheck boxes for the crap they're including (Open Candy). Why? Just uncheck the boxes next to the bundled software. I'll make sure to avoid imgburn going forward. Install software to open IBB file The main and most frequent cause precluding users form opening IBB files is that no program.
